You guys rock! I'm just thankful you're one of the guys in the cockpit and not one of the guys jumping out. I bet the people of Altus are really appreciative of the supplies you're dropping off to them. :)
Ah yes, the memories. . . Are you guys doing LAPES at Altus? I suppose you'll even get to (hold your breath) go TDY to Pope! The one good thing about being based at Pope was I never had to go TDY there. Keep up the good work.
Uncle Rick...sorry to say, but we don't do LAPES in the C-17 anymore. We used to, and there's still a LAPES position on our spoiler arming switch, but it is a thing of the past, at least for us. Probably too many mishaps or something...the Air Force ruins everything fun eventually, right?
And yes, I will be at Pope a lot. It should be a hoot. I'm in Lexington now at the parent's new house...stopped by on the way back to Charleston from Altus, just in time to bask in the glory of the new basketball hire.
