A day at the office...

This is supposedly the first humanitarian C-17 airdrop mission into Afghanistan. This takes a while to load. And now, no more videos for a while. Seriously.

Smart Photo Booth

I think this is from Leno. Pretty funny. This is the third video in a row...quite the multimedia extravaganza. I think I'll stop posting them for a while...I just got excited when I learned how to put videos on my blog.

This blog stuff is overwhelming right now. I think you can tell by my many posts in one day. I need to chill out some.

He shoots...she scores!!!

I'm not sure if this is doctored in any way, but it is one of the most incredible things I've ever seen. Notice the men's disregard for the girl's well-being after the stunt.

Newsroom humor even Ron Burgundy would appreciate.

I got gas right now. Hilarity ensues.

Blogging a waste of time?

I've been informed by a good friend of mine that there are much more productive ways to spend your time than by writing on a blog. I learned this as I was eating reheated pizza and watching a bowl game on TV. Creating my blog is the most productive thing I've done today. I was a bit offended. I mean, this is my first day of blogging and all. Talk about raining on my parade.

Is blogging an unwise way to spend your time? If so, I'm going to start a coalition to ban them. All of you who are now reading this blog (six people) join me now. We will abolish blogs, if they are indeed a waste of time. Now that would be productive.

C-A-T-S...CATS CATS CATS!!!

I couldn't go long without talking about UK sports.

This picture of my sister, Lyndsey, with the laptop is our family's way of letting me watch the game with them while I'm hundreds of miles away. This is the Louisville game.

Yes, the Wildcat is rapelling from Rupp Arena's roof.

Here's a little ditty...

...bout Jack and Janelle. Two American kids growin up in the heartland (Oklahoma). Jack and Janelle Nelson, probably two of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I mean, who else would let eight people just up and drive to their house on minimal notice and somehow provide a bed for everyone for the whole weekend? Janelle cooked too!

Just wanted to take this time to thank the Nelsons for their public service. They have two rad dogs, Marvin and Lucy. And Lucy (the black one) is way bigger (I hear 52 lbs these days) than Marvin now. Which is ok, since Marvin's a Cats fan. So here's to Jack and Janelle, and everyone else who provides beds for a bunch of yahoos at a moment's notice.

Probably the best band ever

I just wanted to let everyone (all 6 of you) know about a great band. The North Mississippi Allstars
  • website
  • are awesome. Two skinny white guys and a big ole black dude playing some unique mix of Southern rock, funk, blues, and sometimes even rap. And I even loved this band before I lived in Mississippi. "Electric Blue Watermelon" is their best album, to pick just one, but you can't go wrong with any of them. If you don't think this band is the greatest band ever, I will fight you.

  • A small sample...

  • Oh, you want more?

  • Acoustic = nice.

  • A little bit softer now

  • Ribs. I had ribs for lunch. That's why I'm doing this.

    First one

So. I guess this is the thing to do. Making a blog. I'm in a little late, but I'm in nonetheless. I reckon it's a good outlet. Let me reveal my deepest secrets, my most profound thoughts, my life goals...by typing them on a computer. To an audience of maybe six people. Six would be on a good day.

Actually, I'll probably just talk about Kentucky basketball, flying, and maybe some NASCAR. Now that I think of it, I can see the appeal.
